Record Hunt

So unlike most fellow record snobs, I don’t have a certain list I work off of, I don’t have a “holy grail” record that I’ve been searching for forever.

But there are two records I’ve been on the hunt for…

Here’s the first one:

Uh, hello? Who WOULDN’T want this record? It’s only 4 songs, and they’re pretty damn good. Actually I lied – 3 are good, 1 is shitty. But being an SCTV fan, I HAVE to have this stupid fucking record.

And I’m also looking for this one (on 45):

Why do I want this? Because one day, I was partaking in one of my many hobbies (watching old newscast footage) and I saw this clip from a TV station in Worster, Mass from May 1979. I liked the slow, sexy electronic music it had, and then after listening to it a few times, I realized that I THINK it’s Donna Summer’s “I Feel Love” slowed down. But the only way for me to prove it is to get the song on 45 and then play it on 33.

I’ve always liked Donna Summer (and not just because I have a hard-on for Giorgio Moroder). She pumped out some great disco hits and was definitely a pioneer in the scene. I would have to say she’s my second favorite musical act to come out of Massachusetts.

The first would have to be BBD – Bell Biv Devoe!
