Because last weeks “Two for Tuesday” was the bomb (literally!), I thought I would continue the greatness into this week.
I bring you two clips from the 1982 Grammy Awards. The first clip is for the Best R & B Male, and the second clip is for Best R & B Female.
Here’s what to look [...]

So back on August 3rd, my brother (I have 2) flipped and rolled his work truck. He’s a pool man, so all of the chemicals spilled and they closed the freeway for FOUR hours.
See for yourself – http://www.10news.com/news/20267677/detail.html?taf=sand
To celebrate this momentous occasion, I decided to get all vintage-Los-Angeles-traffic-spills on your ass and show you some [...]

Yes sir, this is the 100th Meat Is Myrtle post.
I never thought it would be so easy to write 100 blog posts of garbage, but it was super easy!
To celebrate 100 Posts of Myrtle, I think it’s appropriate to post something FABULOUS!
So I bring you (in the typical spirit of Myrtle)….The History of Daryl Hall’s [...]

As someone who has spent most of her life studying and enjoying Nevada Gambling History, I pretty much know everything – through reading or through many of my collections.
I know all about the horrendous MGM Grand fire of 1980. I still refuse to this day to stay at Bally’s because you know that fucking place [...]

I don’t remember seeing many drive-in intermission clips when I was a kid. Mostly because my parents always left before the second movie, but I do remember seeing some intermission stuff, especially the one for the gross-looking snack bar pizza. Until the day she died, whenever my mother saw a cheap looking pizza, she would [...]

There was this really cool web page called “So-Cal Drive-In’s”. The guy who used to maintain it really did some great research and was able to get some great pics. But unfortunately, I don’t think he’s done anything with it since 2006.
I guess if all the drive-in’s are gone, what’s left to do?

It’s been so hot and gross this past two weeks.
So lets celebrate the heat with a look back to an old summertime tradition – the drive-in movie theater!
I am extremely fortunate that I am old enough to have experienced the drive-in experience. Actually, more than just “experienced” – our family would go every Friday night. [...]
